A Perfect Mother’s Day Gift for Moms Who Take Care of Everyone But Themselves

Mother's-Day-Gift

What would you give to your mom this Mother’s Day? Flowers are always appreciated… although they only last a few days. Chocolate is awesome… although it could add to her waistline (not so awesome).  A piece of beautiful jewelry or trinket? Also wonderful, but may or may not have much meaning, let alone any long-lasting benefits for mom.

What could you give to your mom, the woman who gave LIFE to you, took care of you around the clock when you were little (all those late-night feedings, fevers, throw-ups), sacrificed SO much for you over the years, and STILL trying to take care of you & guide you long after you’re all grown up?

When I pondered on this, there are probably very few (material) gifts that are truly worthy of our own mom, when we think about how much she has done for us and how much she means to us.

Then I thought about what I wish for my mom…

I wish she could learn how to take better care of herself and NOT feel guilty about it. I wish she knew how worthy of love she is, just by being herself — without having to do anything for anyone in order to prove her worth or win other people’s love & approval. I wish she could love herself unconditionally, instead of trying to get that love from someone else.

I have a gut feeling that you might have some of these same wishes for your mom, or for YOURSELF, or maybe for your own daughter or granddaughter…

Am I right?

If you’re nodding your head, I’d like to suggest a Mother’s Day gift that could help your mom, yourself and/or your loved ones fulfill these wishes. I’d like to offer you a gift can and will keep on giving, to your mom who keeps giving SO much of herself, year after year. Would you like to hear what it is?

It is a book called Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul: 7 Keys to Nurture Yourself While Caring for Others.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know this is written by me. :) I wrote this book, because as a former RN, a wife, and a working mother of two, I have experienced first-hand how challenging it is to joggle taking care of a growing family, a full-time career/business, and aging parents. I’ve seen it, over and over, in my nursing colleagues, my coaching clients who are mostly high-achieving working moms, my own extended family full of medical professionals, and my friends who are family caregivers.

It’s all too easy to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or downright burned out, and taking care of yourself becomes… well, not only on the back burner, but it’s not even on the burner any more.

When you are not taking care of yourself adequately, your own health, energy and mood suffer greatly, then it affects your productivity, career, relationships and EVERYTHING ELSE. Can you relate?

I know most people KNOW intellectually how important it is to improve their self-care and manage stress, but it is simply very difficult for them to actually implement in their own lives. That’s where my book Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul comes in.

I intentionally wrote it in a VERY EASY to read format, that combines timeless principles, real life stories (of myself and my clients), and simple yet powerful action steps you (or your mom) can apply immediately in your own life. Because, let’s face it, with the kind of stressful and crazy-busy schedule you have, who has the time to read long, dry, difficult-to-implement how-to books on stress management?

This is more than a book. It’s an interactive guidebook filled with insights and powerful tools to prevent caregiver burnout. Each chapter comes with an interactive Self-Coaching Session, so you can personalize your learning and choose action steps that are JUST RIGHT FOR YOU.

If you (or your mom) often feel stressed, overwhelmed, exhausted, with no time or energy to take care of yourself, or do what you enjoy doing…

OR, if you (or your mom) often feel very guilty taking time to take care of yourself…

OR, if you (or your mom) often feel resentful, angry or sad for giving so much and taking care of everybody else EXCEPT yourself…

OR, if your (or your mom’s) health, energy level or mood are suffering greatly, and you are worried…

Then, I highly recommend that you order my book and dig in ASAP.

Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul is a PERFECT GIFT for Mother’s Day or any day — for moms, grandmas, nurses, teachers, therapists, family caregivers, and anyone who is in the role of taking care of other people.

But, don’t just take my word for it. Please check out what other people who have read my book said about it here: www.IntensiveSelfCareBook.com On this page, you will find more info about my book and how to order it for your mom, yourself and/or your loved ones.

Some of the topics I explore in the book include:

  • Recognizing Self-Care Deficiency Syndrome and what to do about it
  • Resolve the feeling of overwhelm
  • Finding joy and serenity in the present moment
  • Restore peace and calm when life is spinning out of control
  • Creating life balance to avoid caregiver burnout
  • How to clear out emotional clutter for lasting inner peace
  • Finding peace in the face of death and grieving

Again, it’s an interactive guidebook that will give your mom, yourself and/or your loved ones timeless insights, real life stories, as well as practical tools & action steps you can immediately implement in your own life.

It’s a meaningful Mother’s Day gift that will keep giving to your beloved mom, who keeps giving and giving to everyone.

It’s time for her to take better care of herself and give HERSELF some of that love and TLC she so generously gives to EVERYONE else. Don’t you agree?
